We all know that in order to grow a business, it requires some form of exposure to get our name and products out there for all to see. And so by careful planning, we save a portion of our small budget and decide to allocate some funds to "Advertisement Design".

We eagerly await the continuous ringing of the phone and customers to "flood" in based on the advertisement. There are two things we need to consider when placing an advertisement: Firstly and most importantly, which publication to place your advertisement with to ensure you get value for money. Secondly, how to portray the correct information to generate the customers' interest with advertisement design.

Advertisements can be used in many various mediums, for example in a newspaper, magazine or even in a website, normally referred to as a banner advertisement. Below are some requirements needed for your advertisement design:

• Product/ Service (What you are trying to advertise.)
• Action (What is your call to action, e.g. phone today !)
• Byline (Your company slogan, or services.)
• Colours (What are your corporate colours.)
• Contact ( Name, Title, Contact Numbers, Email, Website, etc...)
• Logo (In either jpeg, gif or PNG, preferably in high resolution as well.)
